After becoming a mom, there was so much I wanted to document, to preserve, and to share. Photography and blogging were a perfect pair, to splice together the snippets and snapshots from our daily lives. While practicing photography, I feel I'm learning so much more than just the skills. I'm learning about life. I'm learning how to being fully present, to capture the details, while also giving enough space and time to allow things to unfold, naturally. I'm learning the difference between guiding and forcing the moments. I'm enjoying it all - the process, the ponderings, perusing the pictures, and though I'm pretty attached to my camera, I'm also learning that sometimes it needs to be put away so I too can join the moments on the other side of the lens.
